The Walmart Credit Card is a utility card that can be used to make procurement of products via in-store outlets or online stores. The Walmart Credit Card comes in a Store-only card that can be utilized for Walmart procurement and a MasterCard which can be utilized for purchases in any store that accepts MasterCard.

Walmart Mobile App 

You can apply for your card on your smartphone through the Walmart mobile application. To commence your application, download the Walmart app, open it, and then select the credit card option from the main menu. You’ll be required to open an account or log in to your existing Walmart account to complete the card application. Also, you can send a message with the word APPLY to 88278 to receive an application.

Does Your Credit Score Influence Your Application?

Knowing your credit score before applying for your card helps you know your chances of getting approval. Before application, make available your credit score, this is because your chances of getting approved depend on how strong your credit score is, starting from the 600s. Also, ensure that the reasons for the denial are valid. If not, you can get in touch via the contact information included in the letter to rectify the issue. Making Walmart Credit Card Payment

You can make your card Payment in-store at the customer service desk. The payment processing takes about 48 hours. Ensure to go with your account statement or card because your account number cannot be retrieved in the store. For the Walmart MasterCard payment, you can mail in your payment, pay via telephone, online, ABM or teller services of any financial institution that accepts Walmart Canada MasterCard payment.

Withdrawing From Walmart Credit Card

It is important to note that you can only utilize your card at any Walmart store or any of Walmart’s on-site gas stations. The card includes an outstanding cash-advance feature that permits holders to withdraw $60 cash daily, if you make an in-store purchase you’ll be able to withdraw an extra $20.

Does closing down your Walmart Credit Card affect your credit score?

Closing your Walmart account may affect your credit history negatively, this depends on if the card is your oldest credit card, and how long you’ve had the card. If it is your oldest card, consider offsetting the whole balance but keeping the account open, else, the average age of all your accounts will decline, which can lessen your credit score.

Walmart Credit Card Shopper Reward

As a holder of the Walmart Credit Card, you are automatically registered in the Walmart Rewards program. While shopping with a Walmart MasterCard, you earn rewards. What this means is that you’ll be receiving cashback rewards on every procurement you make with either of the Walmart Credit Cards. There are no restrictions on the number of rewards you can receive using your card. Also, the rewards do not expire because you are getting the cash back on every statement you receive. The Rewards include:

  • A 3% cashback on all procurement made on Walmart’s official website at Walmart.com and Walmart verified stores.
  • A 2% cashback on Murphys USA gas stations and Walmart gas stations.
  • A 1% cashback on all other procurement made in Walmart stores, Walmart Neighbourhood Market and Sam’s club.
  • A 3% cashback on groceries procured online and picked up at the store or delivered to your doorstep.

Also, the card offers 0% promotional financing options on procurements. The rewards and benefits you are open to are available on your Walmart Credit Card account agreement.
